One-Hour: Process is co-hosted by Tiffany Kimmel of Nihil Declarandum and Bill Macomber of Fancy Film. Every other month, we venture into the world of filmmaking by discussing various aspects of the business. One-Hour: Process aims to build an intentional community of filmmakers and cross-disciplinary artists in East Los Angeles.

We have hosted Joel Chiodi, SVP of Development at Scout Productions (QUEER EYE, LEGENDARY), and Jon Bryant Crawford, Producer (Ex-Googler, PBS FELLOW) as they discussed building unscripted co-productions, talking about development at different companies and pitching long-form unscripted documentaries to buyers and how things are changing. Former Disney Imagineer and experiential storyteller Greg Ashton (Gensler), broke down working with art directors and engineers to build real-world experiences within Disneyland and Disneyworld.

Casting directors, Emily Cook (HOW I MET YOUR FATHER, CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA and STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, and Alissa Haight Carlton (Vital Casting: PROJECT RUNWAY, MAKING THE CUT, THE HILLS and more) on the differences between casting for narrative and unscripted projects, and the various ways filmmakers can approach casting directors.

On June 9th, 2024 we hosted director, Adam Paloian (THE CUPHEAD SHOW, SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS) and cartoonist, character designer, Sam Grinberg (THE SIMPSONS) for a special discussion on storytelling through animation.
