The Time Travel Mart / 826LA
“Wheels of Feels!” was an interactive writing prompt and window display at the 826LA Time Travel Mart in Echo Park, Los Angeles from July-October 2023.
The Concept:
The display consists of four different color wheels illustrating primary, secondary and tertiary emotions. Visitors can walk into the window to spin the Emotional Barometer and are given a prompt to create their own self portrait. An interactive writing prompt instructs writers on how to build a character based on emotional memories. These 5-question profiles are writing prompts for exploring their own pasts in order to rewrite the future.
Buried Emotions Never Die!
Visitors are encouraged to revisit emotionally charged objects and tell stories to save the future!
